For review:
Gone to the Forest by Katie Kitamura (Free Press Blog Tours)

Won:
The Hairdresser of Harare by Tendai Huchu (thanks, Sandra at Beauty Balm!)

From Random Buzzers:
Diva (Flappers #3) by Jillian Larkin
Railsea by China Mieville

Gifted:
George Washington's Rules of Civility and Decent Behavior

Purchased:
My mom and I went down Main Street in the new town. She said we shouldn't buy any more books until we've unpacked the ones we already have. Well, my library's already unpacked, organized, and shelved, so there. We found a surprisingly large used bookstore hidden in the back of one of the buildings, and of course I had to pick up some of their cheap paperbacks...
The Little Lame Prince by Dinah Maria Mulock Craik
Bend Sinister by Vladimir Nabokov
The House on the Strand by Daphne du Maurier
A Transatlantic Tunnel, Hurrah! by Harry Harrison
Armageddon 2419 A.D. by Philip Francis Nowlan

  1. Don't you just love used book stores? Especially new discoveries? I live in Philadelphia, and it's practically used-book city!

    1. Used book stores are the best!!! The only thing better are thrift stores and book sales with good selections and dirt cheap prices (like 25 or 50 cents), but of course, those are much harder to find...

Philadelphia is used-book city?! My family was there a couple years ago and would have LOVED to find some used book stores, but I guess we were always in the wrong part of town.

  2. Nabokov! I haven't read that one yet, but it's on my shelf waiting ever so patiently for me :) I hope you enjoy your books!

    1. Thanks for stopping by! I've never read any of Nabokov's novels, but since Bend Sinister is a dystopia, it's been on my wishlist for several years. I was so excited and surprised to find it at the store!
